Founded in 1869, Robinson Brothers is one of the UK’s largest independent chemical manufacturers of speciality/fine chemicals and rubber accelerators. They offer a wide range of custom manufactured intermediates on a commercial scale, all produced to the highest possible quality and environmental standards.
When they were looking to replace an old database, developed in-house many years previously, they needed something that was flexible and easy to expand over time.
“We’ve seen some major development changes in the years since we started using Transform, including the Android tablet app (replacing the old PDA), the web-based server, and user configurable reporting tools that have all contributed to an increasingly efficient system.
The software was initially brought in for use on electrical EX inspections but has now extended its use for our asset register, planned preventative maintenance, training records, ISO 9001 inspections and daily readings for which we can extract the data for reporting purposes.
Use of the handheld devices is not only easy to use, it is also time saving as we no longer need to double-handle data by manual importing of inspections to the database.
